Refund policy
Effective May 11, 2026
TranscriptMint sells prepaid credits. Each credit is one minute of transcription. Credits don't expire.
When we refund
- Unused balance, within 30 days of purchase. If you paid us recently and haven't used most of your credits, email us and we'll refund the unused balance up to the amount you paid in the last 30 days.
- Billing errors. If we charged you in error — for example, a duplicate transaction or a charge that wasn't yours — we'll refund the full amount and figure out what went wrong.
- Service errors on our end. If a transcription failed because of a problem we caused (not a bad upload, not a network failure between you and us), we'll comp the credits or refund the equivalent.
- Where required by law.
What's not refundable
Used minutes — minutes consumed by completed transcriptions — are not refundable unless one of the situations above applies. Credits spent successfully are spent.
How to request a refund
Email support@transcriptmint.com with the email address on your account and what you'd like refunded. We respond within 5 business days and process approved refunds back to the original payment method through Stripe; that side typically takes 5–10 business days to land on your card statement.
Stripe disputes
If a charge was unauthorized, you can also dispute it through Stripe or your card issuer directly. We prefer to work it out by email first when possible; either way, we'll cooperate with the dispute process.
