Privacy Policy

TranscriptMint is a small, independent service. We treat your data as little as we can get away with — only what's needed to run the product and to bill you correctly. This page explains what we collect, why, and what you can do about it.

What we collect

• Your email address (so you can sign in and so we can send you sign-in links and account notifications).
• Your IP address (used for rate-limiting and abuse defense; not sold, not used for advertising).
• The audio and video files you upload, and the transcripts we generate from them.
• Account preferences (e.g. light/dark theme).
• Billing metadata returned by Stripe — typically a customer ID, the pack you bought, and a transaction reference. We never see or store your card number.

Why we collect it

To provide the service, to bill you correctly, to keep abusive accounts from degrading the service for everyone else, and to honor requests you make about your account.

Who else processes your data

We rely on the following third parties to operate the service. Each one processes only what's necessary for its function:

• Stripe processes payments. Stripe collects the payment details you give it directly; we never see your card number.
• Resend sends transactional email (sign-in links, email-change confirmations, the welcome message).
• A third-party speech-to-text processor generates transcripts from your uploaded audio and video. It processes your media solely to produce the transcript. We have no agreement allowing it to use your media to train its models or for any other purpose.
• The service runs on third-party cloud infrastructure that processes the data necessary to operate the service.

What we don't do

• We don't run behavioral analytics or third-party ad trackers.
• We don't sell or rent your data.
• We don't use your uploads to train AI models — ours or anyone else's.

Cookies and local storage

The site sets one cookie when you sign in (HttpOnly, Secure, SameSite=Lax) — that's your session, and it goes away when you sign out or it expires. Your theme preference (light, dark, auto) lives in your browser's localStorage. There are no third-party cookies on the site.

Your rights

You can ask us what data we have about you, ask us to correct something that's wrong, or ask us to delete it. Email support@transcriptmint.com and we'll respond within 30 days. Some records (billing, fraud, legal compliance) may be retained for the period required by law.

Children

TranscriptMint is not directed at users under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has signed up, email us and we'll remove the account.

Changes

If we change this policy in a meaningful way, we'll update the effective date at the top of this page and, for changes that affect you materially, email you at the address on your account.
